Arguably, the comment section is even more important than views. When we are trying to get viewers to download an app, the comment section is where we build trust and tell people more about the app.
You’ll likely receive both positive and negative comments in the comment section. The goal is to respond to all comments. Here’s types of comments you’ll likely see and good templates to respond:
Types of Comments | How to Respond |
---|---|
asking what app/product you’re using | drop the app name and something you like about it |
example: “it’s called [app name]! It’s so cute i literally use it every day” | | asking if this is an ad | delete these comments | | personal anecdote relating to your video | relate to them and suggest the app
example: “omg i felt that way for so long too until i started using [app name]! seriously changed my life” | | saying they just downloaded the app | share excitement with them & build fomo for others
example: “yay! it’s literally the best. all the girlies need [app name] this summer” | | asking questions about the app | answer to your best ability, feel free to ask your strategist if you need help on any of these | | anything negative about the app | delete these comments | | talking about competitors to the product in a negative way | agree with them and then reaffirm the app you’re promoting
example: “no LITERALLY! that’s why i switched to [app name] and it has been so much better. have you tried it?” | | talking about competitors to the product in a positive way | delete these comments |

For viral videos with lots of comments, I recommend writing out a few templated responses that you can copy & paste into your responses to make it go quicker!
