GOAL: Understand how to run with the momentum of virality and how to iterate to achieve success

At Playkit, we measure the engagement metrics throughout all of our videos and creators. This allows us to get a great high-level overview of what’s working and what needs to change. It’s exhausting to do this manually, so we developed a software we use to run all of our campaigns, called Trackr. Here’s how it works:

Not only does Trackr give us insight into video metrics, but it also helps manage creators (something incredibly helpful as you scale your marketing efforts). We use it for all of our campaigns at Playkit and recommend you do as well!

Once you’re in Trackr, you should look at it every single day to help you iterate on content. You’ll know a video is successful if it’s driving both views and downloads. Great early signal is comments asking about what the app is. You’ll want to iterate on these types of videos.
Here’s how we tell our creators to use Trackr:

Best practice is looking at the video metrics every single day and analyzing how they are being received. Are people commenting on them? Are they being shared? If the answer is consistently “no” time and time again, it’s time to switch something up.
If you’re finding that you’re getting a bit of traction, pay close attention to the types of things people comment and lean into it! You’ll want to iterate on your top performing videos.
It might take a bit before your see your first viral video. Don’t stop trying! Organic is a long game, the more you follow these steps and look closely at the content, the higher likelihood you’ll have of success.
